The guide / privacy
Privacy, plainly.
Last updated: 31 October 2026. This page explains what the site stores and what it does not.
What we collect
Dreadmoor Field Guide does not have accounts, comments, newsletters or a contact form. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics scripts, and we do not build a profile of you.
Local storage
Two features use your browser's local storage: the fish catch log on the fish ledger and the chapter checkboxes in the demo walkthrough. The data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared by using the reset button on the walkthrough or by clearing site data in your browser.
The site search runs entirely in your browser. Search terms are placed in the page URL so the result can be shared; they are not sent to a search server controlled by us.
Hosting and logs
The site is built as a static site and is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process standard request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamps for security, delivery and abuse prevention. That processing is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. If a hosting or security provider sets a strictly necessary cookie at the edge, it is controlled by that provider rather than by this site.
External links
Links to Steam, Discord, Reddit, YouTube, publisher sites and other external resources are marked nofollow and open on third-party services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy applies.
Game assets and trademarks
Dreadmoor and its assets belong to Dream Dock and Digital Vortex Entertainment. This is an independent fan guide and is not endorsed by either company. Screenshots and renders are used for commentary and reference.
Changes
If the site adds analytics, accounts or a newsletter, this page will be updated before those features go live. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the current version.
